Picking out your Puppy

Due to Duke's Aussiedoodles increasing the amount of dog's we are breeding and becoming more well-known, we generally have a waitlist for each mom. With that being said, we want to make sure we can guarantee the puppy that you want. We will post available puppies on our Facebook page after we have gone through out waitlist. If we don't have any available puppies, we ask that you go to the Contact us page or Let's Chat Box and let us know what you are looking for. When filling out that form, we ask that you specify the size, the color, and the gender. If you don't care and just want a pup, let us know that too! We will follow up with an email informing you that we have received your request and put you on the waitlist. We will also try to let you know when the litter you want will be due and you can continue to check or Facebook page.

Puppy Deposit

We require a deposit of 50% at the time you pick out your puppy. We take deposits via cash, check, money order, or cashier's check. Your pup will not be marked sold until the deposit has been received. We require the rest whenever you pick up your puppy. ALL DEPOSITS ARE NON REFUNDABLE!

Health Record TimeTable

This health record is subject to change at any time due to veterinary recommendations.

This is the usual protocol we follow for every puppy. Your puppy will have received everything below before he/she comes to your home. Miniature and moyen puppies will be released at age 8 weeks. No puppies will leave our kennel before 8 weeks of age!

2,4, & 6 weeks: Nemex 2 (roundworm and hookworm)
3 & 7 weeks: 5 Day Panacur (Giardia, hookworm, roundworm, whip-worm)

3 & 7 weeks: Toltrazuril (coccidia)
5 weeks; Sentinel (flea and heartworm)
6 weeks: 5-Way (Canine Distemper, Adenovirus type 2, Para-influenza, Parvovirus vaccine by VANGUARD PLUS)

ALL MEDICATIONS/VACCINES ARE FOR PREVENTATIVE MEASURES ON THIS FORM. Puppies need a series of 4 vaccines (we give the first of 3 boosters) to be fully protected followed by a rabies vaccine after 16 weeks. Please take this health record to your first veterinary appointment. This will show your vet exactly everything the puppy has had to date. The labels on this form are directly off of the vaccines that the puppy has received. If you have any questions please feel free to email us!

Transitioning Home

Duke's Doodles has gone to great lengths to prepare your puppy to enter your family and is not responsible for any vet bills after leaving our closed facility. We want you to understand no matter what we do prior to sending your puppy home, the actual event is stressful!! We will not be held responsible if your puppy is exposed to any place but home before the puppy  is checked out by your veterinarian within 72 hours of receiving them. All puppies leaving our facility have been examined and issued a signed health certificate based on their current state of health. Your puppy does NOT need to go on outings or be touched by anyone other than family members. Do NOT travel to PetSmart, puppy parks, random yards, or other places where animals have been due to the risk of exposure and contracting diseases, parasites, illnesses, parvo…..a whole list of health hazards exists to a susceptible puppy that naturally sniffs things and puts them in their mouths.

When a puppy is stressed, has a change in diet, is introduced to a new environment, they tend to get loose stools to diarrhea with possible blood showing at the end of a movement.  This is NORMAL …there is nothing we can do to change this from happening. If this happens, we recommend you treat your puppy with Kaopectate up to 6 times in a 24 hour time period, for at least 2 days. For puppies 5 to 10 pounds give 1 cc…puppies 10 to 15 pounds 1.5 cc…puppies over 15 pounds 2 cc.  This will most likely resolve the stool problem. It may take some time for the stool to return to normal, so remain patient and persistent with dosages.

Puppy Feeding

We feed Diamond Naturals Salmon and Potato - All stages of life.

All puppies have been raised on their mother's milk and hard food. They are not used to any treats or junk food! An overload of treats or anything except the dog food they have been on their entire life could cause major digestive upset and extreme stool change.

Puppy Pictures

Duke's doodles does their best to provide pictures every other week. We typically try to send them out at the beginning of the week, but might not always get it. Duke's doodles is something we do on the side of our real job, so please keep that in mind when consistently asking for pictures. Also, please remember that taking pictures is VERY time-consuming and with tiny moving puppies can be VERY difficult. They may not always be the best, so hang in there. We promise your puppy will be just as cute when you get him/her at the age of 8 weeks. We post more updates of puppies on our Facebook page, so you can always check there.
